90 SFG Commander retired today. I wasn't able to make it to his retirement or change of command ceremonies since I was working, but I caught him this morning before he left base as he was gassing up his truck. It was a privilege to serve under his command and I wish him and his family the best. I've only ever once before served under a commander that cared about his people as much as he did, and both times the experience was too short-lived. Tonight, the 90 SFG will drink in salute of Colonel M. and his family.

I ran into him somewhere off base (I got out in '08). I still remember the CC at the Base Theater when he came running in to "The Eye of the Tiger" playing and passing tins of cookies (it was around Christmas time, IIRC).
