Opposite issue from other thread here...

I have a G23 Gen3 that I have done the polish job on and also replaced the trigger with the smooth trigger (same weight though). This has helped with consistency, but I'm consistently a little left of target.

I have larger hands and when my trigger finger is resting on the trigger (before the pull) it's mostly my finger tip that is doing the pulling. My thought was that if the grip were larger, my finger would be better positioned.

Anyone else have this issue? I know the Gen4 has the adjustable backs. Anything like it for the Gen3s?

I already put on a Talon stick-on rubber texture grip. Will that fit over the Talon grip, or do I have to rip it off?

Wouldn't a grip enlargement make your trigger finger move so even less of your finger were on the trigger?

If you shoot single action handguns a fingertip was what was recommended years ago.
A middle of the finger pad is what some suggest for target shooting.
The first joint, power crease, is advised for double action handguns.

I like the power crease for shooting Glocks on a defensive/offensive manner. The crease snuggles the trigger and gives more strength to the trigger pull.

That's just my opinion and experience. It was somewhat validated recently in a Massad Ayoob article.

My index finger is longer, so my finger tip is pointed almost back at me when I squeeze the trigger. If I put the pad of my finger on the trigger, it's angled back toward me. If the trigger were such that it was a little further to reach, my finger would be pointed directly to the left when the pad was on the center of the trigger.

Sorry I don't have pics here to better explain, but I'm at work right now.

Now that makes sense. I have a the same problem but I use the power crease so it works for me.
    Good luck.

I missed what you were saying in your first post - I too read the Massad Ayoob article that mentions the power crease, particularly with Glocks. I'll give it a try next time I'm at the range. Thanks for the advice!

The Pachmayr Tactical Glove will fit over the talons, make the grip a bit thicker, has quite a grippy texture, and looks good as well.
