This man will have nothing to be ashamed of when he stands before his maker. He died trying to save his children, there is no greater statement of love.

I pray I would have the courage to go save my family. I remember seeing my dad after he tried to save some lifestock/tractor from a burning barn. His hands had blisters for weeks. Thankfully he had covered his face enough. His back also had damage. Close cut hair, a winter hat/jacket that didn't catch fire

He had been awarded four Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Clearly, the man was not lacking in courage. It's a shame that bloodline ended. Strength to his family.
