Grand jury accuses Frankfort man of having a loaded gun during jail book-in

Discussion in 'Carry Issues' started by TBO, Feb 27, 2012.

  1. So, apparently the gun was inside a shirt pocket behind a memo pad.

The Sheriff regularly briefs his deputies about the importance of being thorough during pat downs. Especially with the small size of some handguns.

The deputy who missed the gun during the pat down was disciplined.

The guy is arrested and he only gets a pat down? (OK, maybe the reporter
got the word wrong. Or maybe it means something else where they're at). In any case, darn right this deputy needs to be disciplined! Sloppy kills.

This thread should be in the CT forum, to remind LEOs there.

  2. Well, grand juries can indict a pencil so that is not surprising. The leo who searched him made a mistake that could have cost him his life. I bet he was told a few things. But was the carrying accidental or intentional?
