Hey guys. Picked up a new Gen 3 Glock 20SF. Always wanted a 10mm so i'm pretty pumped. Shot a box of PPU 180gr JHP (all I could find) and she ran great. This ammo did feel fairly weak since there was virtually no recoil so that was kind of a let down. I will be starting to reload for 10mm so hopefully that will change. I already load 9, 40 and 45 on my Dillon 550. I'm very pleased with the purchase and looking forward to spending some time in this section. Here's a few pics.

Congrats on a great gun. 11.0 of Bluedot over 180grn FMJ will let that baby breathe a little. Think about putting in a 20 or 22lb recoil spring. I did the Wolf spring/guide rod combo for like 29 bucks and it was a very good upgrade for the gun. I am not big on tweaking with stock guns, but I have had zero malfunctions in about 1500 rounds and the slide does not work so violently.

I hope you're as happy with it as I am with mine. 10mm is a very versatile cartridge. Now I just need to find primers. And powder. And bullets...

    I love mine.

Some say it is the biggest, baddest Glock:

It is the King of Glocks! And IMHO the best 10mm made!

I bought a early DE. The rounds the G20 shoots would wreck the DE. I've wanted a 6" Hunter for years. And still do. But I'm not paying the $900 and up idiots think they are worth. A 6" barrel on a G20 is fine. Truth be known,,, the 5.25" LW in it is fantastic.

Remember not to long ago. A Glock 10mm NIB was the only ones you found. Glock never turned it's back on the 10mm. When they brought out the 20 and 29 they stayed with it. That means a lot to me.

Has the G20 made me a over all Glock fan? NO,,, my 9mm and .45 are M&P's. BUT,,, I'm kinda warming up to there .357 Sig offerings.

If you want to shoot 10mm,,,, Glock is the one stop shop. And if you want to go NUKE. Get a after market barrel and then go 10mm wild. It's a great place to be. :)

Thanks for all the info and comments guys. So far the G20 is running great. Shot more 180 PPU's and some of my first 10mm reloads the other day. Had some 165's and Power Pistol on hand that I use for my .40 loads. Worked my way up to 8.6gr. but still have more testing to do with that load. I have 180's coming in and hopefully I can get my hands on some Blue Dot to try out.

Congrats on making an excellent choice. That G20 has a sibling G29 some where. It will eventually find your address.

Congratulations! Yes, never a big fan of the Glock until I bought one.

I know my 29 longs for the company of its big brother--and I'm thinking it's not long before that happens. There's the long slide and carbine options that would make it like having 3 guns in one. And how could that be bad?

OP: Congrats on the new G20! That system is designed for full 10mm rounds.

+1 on ModGlock17. My first 10mm was the G20. I thought..."I'll never need another 10mm after this...how can it get any better?" Yeah...uhuh... let just say I'm still breaking in my G29. ;)

    enjoy!!

Welcome and Congrat on the new G20! I have been a fan of the 10mm since 1988 and still love it.
