Hello, I found my way here by accident while researching the gen 4 G26. My story starts with Wisconsin recently passing the concealed carry law and me getting my license. I bought a brand new Ruger LC9 because i've owned numerous Rugers over the years and liked it's very compact size. I started having problems with it failing to eject rounds after shooting a few mags through it. I took it back to my dealer and had it sent in to Ruger. I didn't care for the trigger pull anyway(way too long) so I traded it in on a brand new SR9C. It didn't even feel like they were built by the same company! Much better trigger, significantly less muzzle lift, I found my new favorite. After firing approx 300 rounds through it the trigger quit returning to the ready position after every shot. I would have to rack the slide every round to get it to return. It too went back to Ruger for repair. I got it back, it fired flawless again but I just didn't trust the brand anymore. Two in a row is just too much to swallow especially with something I might need to save my life someday. I have been researching quite a bit for my next 9mm. I'm carrying an LCR .38 I bought used before I had all my Ruger woes for now. After reading some of the issues with the Gen 4 Glocks i'm thinking i'm going to go for an older Gen 26 or another brand of 9mm at this point. Is there a certain gen I should get over the others? The main thing for me is reliability at this point. I don't want another problem child. Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
