And the first thing I did was snap the stock in two trying to open it. Dang it.

You must be very strong to snap the steel in two. Push the lock button down HARD as you are putting force on it (NEXT TIME).

You are kinda SOL now; i've not seen much option for stock replacement on the AMD65. Find a local welder to fix where it is snapped.

He-man strength and being stupid. It was tight as hell and I was trying to muscle it while hitting the release and it just cracked. I ordered a replacement with cheek weld from apex. Hopefully I can swap it out without further error.

    can you weld pot metal?

  8. I'm not sure if I should be amazed by your strength or the disconcerting fact that these stocks break that easily.

I should be able to bang that pin out and slap on another AMD stock, right?

As far as I know. There has to be a way to mount the AMD65 Tech replacement stock, lol. I hear you on how stiff those are at first, though.

With the stock folded, you still use 2 hands to fire it. Does that make it illegal too???

    No.

Looks good. Definitely looks better than the first pic!

  17. Now it's crackin. Probably not long before it goes shear crazy in here. Gonna have jokes poppin off everywhere. Glad I could bust a few in, but I think I'll take a break.

  18. So long as your over-all length is still legal, 26", with at least 16" of barrel in there somewhere.

It's not pot metal. Should be able to weld that up with no problem. May have been a bad weld from factory. I welded a cheek riser to mine, so I know you can weld on it.
