My wonderful wife got me a Walther PPQ 9mm for my birthday this year! She knew I wanted one for a little while now, so she surprised me with it on Thursday. I definitely didn't expect it.

I took it to the range yesterday and put 200 rounds through it with no problems. I can't get over how well the grip feels to me. It is probably the most comfortable grip I've felt on a combat pistol (the HK P30 is nice too.) The trigger was excellent, much like past reviews have shown.

It is now my primary carry piece. I actually stole the Trijicons off of my P99 .40 and put them on this gun, pretty much taking the P99 out of carry rotation.

I had to make my own IWB holster for it, since I was unaware of any available commercially. I stole the belt clips from my old, broken Crossbreed holster. I copied the Crossbreed, but used better leather and thicker Kydex.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this gun to anyone.

    Looks pretty good.
    Walther even priced it right.

    Congrats,
it really is all that. Mines well over 3000 rounds and going strong. You just get to like it more and more as you shoot it. Yeah it rattles. So do my SIG's. The PPQ and the SIG's
are all super accurate and totally reliable. I have older SIG's by the way.
GOOD BARREL LOCK UP+GOOD TRIGGER+GUN FITS HAND= ACCURATE RELIABLE HANDGUN. In one of the manual's on the 1911 one of the most well respected gunsmiths on 1911'a says tight frame to slide fit might account for maybe 5% of accuracy. Within reason tight frame to slide fit is overblown in importance.

At this time when you may get an erratic ejecting Glock, an inaccurate M&P9 or a FNS that may have a poor trigger and abrasive grip, the PPQ stands out as a great choice in it's price range.
