Got a call back from Lipsey's today on my Thompson/AO M1 in 10mm idea. They said that they had met with Auto-Ordnance recently but before receiving my request. They were interested and said they would approach AO with it to find out what number of carbines Lipsey's would have to invest in order to do the run. If 2000, no way. If 50, 100, maybe 250 then yes.

They will call me back to follow up after their conversation with AO. It looks like if AO does a run, it will be a very limited one.

S&W used to catalog the 610 revolver, used moon clips, had them when I worked at a gun shop 20 years ago. Have no idea if still in production but doubt it. A 10mm Thompson would be great, I love my 45, but I don't know how they will pull the magazine off.

I've got one of those already, but I would love to have an M-1 carbine chambered in 10mm.

S&W makes 686s(610) in 10mm, same thing but better trigger and more accurate. :tongueout:

That is not entirely accurate. The 686 and GP100 are similar in size, and the 686 is an L frame gun, while the 610 in an N frame gun, which is a bit bigger. I won't contest the fact that Smith has a smoother trigger, but as far as accuracy goes I would say that both guns are more accurate than most shooters are.

This is what a 10mm GP 100 looks like, for those of you that wonder

    It's pretty nice
The 610 would be a sweet piece if they came with seven chamber cylinders. It would be beefier in all the right places compared to a 627. They make great, easy conversions to 10mm Magnum as they are but one more on board with a stronger cylinder would have me completely satisfied.

I would be interested in an M1 carbine in 10mm depending on price.
