They use the same bolt carrier correct?
Just a different bolt, barrel and mags?
Like you said same carrier different bolt and barrel. Same mag just a different follower. The flash hider is also different.
I actually knew about the mag, just poorly worded.
Was not sure about the carrier.
they DO NOT use the same magazine >>
the mag body is different inside , more than just the follower....PRI or the newest C mags have been 100% for me in teh 25 round variety
Like he said about the mags - different body and follower. PRI has had a significant defect rate (somewhere around 10-15%) with their 25 round mags for the last year in a half at least. If you like dealing with warranty support and paying top dollar go with them. If not, go with C-Products. If you need something more sturdy go with Barrett (I have dropped two different ones fully loaded on the feed lips with barely a scuff to show for it.)...
You might play around with magazines.
I can get P-mags to feed 6.8 in MY magazines. I know some other people have had issues. I can get the 20 rounders to feed without any issues as well.
H&K mags with magpul followers seem to work so far. Will post after I have a few more rounds through them.
The C-Products mags have been flawless for me as well as the Barrett's actually I prefer the C-Products being that there shorter and a hell of alot cheaper, their 5 rdrs are great also
Thanks,.......Looks like the mags in question are CProducts.
Larry makes good stuff, I have some of his earliest AR mags
My best 6.8 mags are the C products that I installed the ranger plates on those stainless mag bodies are very tough.. once I polisehed all the edges on the edges on the followers they are super slick....
