Slightly used, but considering what people have been asking for these, its a good price. This one has the standard bluing.

The RRA Limited Match is one of my favorite 1911s of all time. There aren't many around and no more are being built. $2100 is a steal for this nice a 1911.

There's a little bit of holster wear. The RRA bluing is very thin. Some idiot put an "idiot scratch" in it. It actually looks like a great candidate for the Black T finish.

I saw a LNIB Government with fixed NS the other day Bac. They wanted 2,200 OTD.

To bad for you it was railed.:tongueout:
    It peeked my interest although.

That seems like a steep price for what is basically the equivalent of a Les Baer PII with a magwell and an idiot scratch.

Bac, what do you like about the Rock Rivers better than the Baers?

I saw it, but that scratch is a real turn off. He also said he's run 800 rounds through it. I suppose you could get someone to have it done in "black T" or hard chrome. I also thought all Limited Matches had that big mag release like yours, which I actually could do without. If you say it's a good deal I may take a harder look at it. I've been thinking about getting an STI, but I can do that at any time.

Dang. By the time you bought that RRA, had it shipped and transferred, then shipped it to get a refinish, you could have just bought a new Wilson. Without that hideous rear sight and front cocking serrations. And at least they still make their product.

I love RRAs styling, far and away my favorite 1911s, and the fact you can't hardly find them makes it more interesting to me. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I'm glad somebody was thinking what I was thinking.

That and it has a stiff price.

    Very good point MD.

I honestly didn't look at that. However, before bidding on something, I always examine that stuff very closely.

The large mag release was standard on the Limited Match, but many opted out of it.

True, but for what, a CQB? :dunno:

Sorry, but I'll take my Limited Match over my CQB any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Nothing wrong with the CQB, but its no Limited Match. I'd sooner compare it to the Super Grade.

As for the rear sight, I don't find it hideous. Its just a large target sight. I have many 1911s with them.

Where do you come up with this stuff? :dunno:

Sorry, but that's a damn joke. I like it better than my Baer SRP, let alone just a PII.

To me it retains the tightness and durability of a Baer, but with greater refinement. The builders of RRA used to work for Les Baer, in fact.

I agree with bac. I would also take a LM over a CQB any day of the week.

Agreed, but I never liked RRA's bluing anyway.

That baby would go straight to Black T if I bought it.

I agree with bac on the finish also. I would get a Black T or ARS Metacol 3 finish.

Guys, the price is steep, if you take into consideration that RRA used to sell blued Limited Matches for $2300. However, that was a BARGAIN. Plus, you can't get them anymore.

I can all but guarentee you that in the highly unlikely event RRA starts building 1911s again, prices will be quite a bit higher.
