I'm going to Meadville for a family wedding in the next few weeks. My cousin is looking at getting her CCW permit (she has very little experience w/firearms other than being around her recently deceased dad's collection). I was wondering what gun shops you'd recommend, preferably in the Meadvile area. I'm taking my wife and I's pistols up there for her to shoot, but am looking for somewhere to recommend for her to purchse.

Bob's Gun Shop in Edinboro is pretty good, and they have an indoor range.

    Also check out Edinboro Outdoors.

i think you will be going up I-79.

if you take a slight detour onto I-279 (which takes you through pittsburgh and then joins back up with I-79 north of pittsburgh) you will go by Sportsmen's Warehouse (just off the Camp Horne Road exit of I-279 just a bit north of Pittsburgh).

it's a large hunting/fishing/camping store with a good selection of guns at reasonable prices.

gunworld on route 8. 79 north, get off the slippery rock exit and follow the signs for rt8 north. the store will be on your left, about a 15min ride from the exit
