Would it be a good or bad idea to CCW a Springfield Armory Range Officer:headscratch:

I wouldn't hesitate to carry an RO or Loaded. I prefer the latter, but the former is more similar than different. If you can deal with the sights, the rest is good to go.

Depends on your carry rig and if those adjustable sights will poke you in the side. Otherwise, why not?

All depends on the holster, I've carried 1911s with LPAs a bunch of times with no issues.

I don't because of the sights. I prefer to have a tritium front sight and a lower profile rear.

I would change out the rear and you should be good.

Yeah could get pokie indeed. Also sights could snag on clothes and that could cause a possible concealment issue as well. Could be done but you just need to put some extra thought into how to do it.

This, I wouldn't want to have a CCW with adjustables.

Other than the adjustable sights its no different than carrying any other 5" 1911.

If it is a reliable 1911, slap on the sights Hokie posted up, and carry with no worries.

There are better choices for 1911 CCW, but if thats all you got.

Why would it be a bad idea? You should follow the same criteria that goes into choosing any carry pistol.
