A few months back I bought some 50 round boxes of speer gold dot lot # 53918 at the gun show in Raleigh N C , the question I have is that on the primers there is a small triangle any body know what that stands for.:dunno:

That would be the letter "A".

Some years ago Speer loaded a lot of GDHP ammo, mostly for LE use, that used a different style of priming that did not meet Speer's high standard for LE use, so that ammo was recalled and later re-classified and sold on the retail market.

The new ammo that was replacing the recalled ammo was made with new primers and Speer placed the letter "A" on the cups to distinguish between the recalled GDHPs and the newly produced GDHPs.

My question would then be is it alright to shoot the round with the {A} on the primers with no worries? By the way thank you for your response, thats one thing I like about Glock Talk most of the time you get answers to questions that can be found nowhere else.:wavey:

Yes, your ammo is just fine to use for SD.
