Is the GMJ ammo ok for a Glock barrel? If I understand it correctly, it has a small amount of zinc in it.

I've heard of FMJ & TMJ, but never "GMJ".

You referring to a gilding metal jacket?

If you are talking about the gilding metal (which is nominally 95% copper and 5% zinc) that's used in JHPs and FMJs, yeah, its just fine.

Yes gilded metal. Its basicaly a process. almost like plating I believe. They sell it at Walmart. Ive never used it and wasnt sure if it acted the same as FMJ. Thanks!

A friend of mine has reloaded and fired thousands of those plated bullets through his G17 with no issues.

I can't remember the brand, although I remember they are (were) pretty cheap.
