Let's hear it...
Mine's been on the nightstand, but I'm eager to figure out a more quick access concealed spot. Any ideas?
In the bed night stand drawer.
Neither, inbetween bed and nightstand. Easy reach and out of sight. I'm weird like that, but I will hear someone trying to get in before he makes it upstairs to the bedroom.
nightstand, you have to be very paranoid to stick a loaded gun under a pillow
I see no advantage to under the pillow. Seems unsafe, impratical, uncomfortable. I have a quicksafe on the night stand that is also mounted to studs in the wall behind it. The safe is quick to open but I dont want to be fumbling with buttons when I wake up to a BG kickin in the door so at night when I lay down I open the safe then close it back when I leave in the morning. I also have a mossberg cruiser with tac light at my side just under the bed. I lock it with a cable bolted into the studs when I leave as well. It sure wouldnt fit under the pillow.
Nightstand. Your brain cannot be replaced.
Yea I am not parainoid enough to have it under my pillow. I dont trust keeping it there either since I tend to sleep with my arm under my pillow once in a while...
A spot I used to use is the back of my nightstand. I slept on the right side if laying in the bed, and mounted an old cheepy holster to the back of my nightstand wit hsmall screws. It gave me really easy and fast access to my gun.
23 on the nightstand...26 in the nightstand's drawer
It really depends on your situation. If you have children don't leave any
weapons laying around. I keep a weapon it the top drawer in my night
stand.I also keep a white light next to the weapon.
How does keeping a Glock between the nightstand and bed help you hear someone trying to get in before he makes it to your bedroom? How does keeping it there help in that hearing process more than on the nightstand or unnder the bed?
far enough away that i will have time to kinda wake up and be thinking somewhat clearly before i have a pistol in my hand...
I'll speak only for myself, but I'm a hands under my head - under the pillow type sleeper. I would probably shoot myself.
In between the bed and nightstand allows the pistol to remain out of sight, but readily available.
my wife holds my Glock while I sleep...I also stash one under the bed
I have my G-26 loaded and ready to roll, held to the bottom shelf of the nightstand by a magnetized, screw-mounted metal bar....easy to reach, from my side of the bed, if I need it.
Glock: in the gun safe.
XDm: on the nightstand
Under the pillow off to the center of the bed in a comp tac 2:00 holster. Get it out when i get home, and lock it up when i leave. When it is out, my house and car keys are in the door to the safe so I never forget to put it away.
Let's hear it...
On my hip!
I think he is saying that he will have time to get it when he first hears someone coming in, not that it will help him hear.
