I'm working on a web site update (finally!). Does anyone have some pictures of the Glock Mariner model that I could use on the site?

BTT. Someone must have bought one of those here.
    Didn't theTactician?

IIRC, the Glock 'Mariner' was a promotional stunt in the Philippines, wherein Glocks were locally marked MARINER on the slide (by the importer?) to proclaim the inclusion of mariner spring cups with the pistol package.

the tactician is here in Cali now, bored to death.
I wish I could take him out but my work is killing me to death.

I wonder which one is better, bored or working?;)

    clark_kent :)
AFAICT, the 'MARINER' legend on the slide is of Philippine origin, and should indicate that the cups are included. More importantly, can you ask your friend to send photos of his Mariner to Scottbert?

Better yet, maybe you can post the photos here.
Anyone else with a Glock 'MARINER' here?
Come on folks, tulungan natin si Scottbert!
    :)

sure, i'll post the picture of G17 mariner ASAP.

btw, the gun store sell the ordinary G17 and G17 mariner at the same price.

Here is my Glock 17 with the Mariner marking on the slide but I believe it has no "mariner/maritime spring cups". Bought the gun in Manila this year. God bless you all!

  8. Yes sir Horge, I do own a glock 23 mariner, the compact version of the glock 22 which is a .40 caliber pistol and just like what was posted here courtesy of our co-glock enthusiast, my g23 has the "MARINER" marking on the right side of the pistol indicating that it does have the maritime spring cups which costs only 200 pesos, i think, if bought separately.
yes sir vega, you're right, im bored to death here.:) I wish i could see some of you BOGS here so i can see your baby glocks. I miss mine very much. i mean, if only i can bring them through the airplane but well..its literally impossible to do so. I just miss the "at-home" feel in the firing range.
Anyway, i'll post my glock here when i get back to the philippines.

There's also a tactical version which has the word "Tactical" on the slide. I remember a BOG has one and also posted pics of it. Please post the pics again, maybe Scottbert would also be interested.

  10. A pilot friend of mine has a G19 Mariner with the "Mariner" inscription on the slide. He got it from a gun shop in Shangrila more than a year ago. Wasn't able to check out if it indeed had maritime spring cups.

Urban store in Shangri-la EDSA is I believe the first or the only store that markets Glocks with "Mariner" and "Tactical" markings in the Philippines.

    Mariner - 3.5 lbs connector
    - maritime spring cups
    - slightly "shiny" phosphate finish of the slide
    - adjustable rear sight

    Tactical - 3.5 lbs. connector
    - adjustable rear sight
    - traditional blackish phosphate slide finish

Other than the markings, there aren't any difference. I'll get one when they give a "SUPER DUPER CUSTOM" marking on the slide.;f

Oops, edited to add. Both models also sports the extended slide stop. Thanks Batangueno.

Thanks for all the info and the picture!

    Ersatz0906,

Maritime spring cups have small channels cut in them to allow water to pass by in the firing pin channel. There's a picture about halfway down this page: http://topglock.com/catalog/extras.htm
