    Hey,

I live in NY where we still live under the "1994 Gun Ban" as state law. So, that means we can't have magazines over 10rds. post 9/13/1994. I purchased two Glock 17 High Cap mags. at a gun show here in NY that where labeled preban. I now wonder is this the case or are they new and lied. At http://glockmeister.com/pages.php?cID=3&pID=31 they have pictures to see the different generations but, they don't list any years. Also, I can't really tell the difference between 2nd and 3rd generation. Anybody have any info?

  2. Here is a link to the different magazines http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=794817. Look at the placement of the caliber markings and the presents of a shoulder on the side of the mag or a smooth tapered edge. As for the dates, Glock does not recognize generations of mags like they do frames and years they were changed is not always clear. The general consensus is what I stated above on approximate ban status.
