As I begin to plan for getting a Glock as I usually carry a slimmer thickness gun (1911), but wanting something I can rough up and shoot the crap out of all the time. I would like to carry it of course.

I am skinny at 5 10 150 pounds, so I am wondering with the Glocks being thicker, how hard it would be for my small frame to carry..

And of course I can see cool guns and holsters to help me decide which holster to buy before I get my Glock:)

Hope to join the dark side soon:)

Buy a good holster and you will be fine. If you have tight pants you might be uncomfortable...so don't wear tight pants lol

I was an M1911A1 shooter. My EDC is a G30. I'm 5'9", 145 lbs, and it conceals well with an MTAC holster under a T-shirt.

I'm the same height as you, but 10 pounds heavier. I carry my G19 comfortably with a Milt Sparks VM II.

And a quality gun belt. It will keep your pistol from tipping out and printing.

I'm about 6'0/6'1 and 190. Been carrying my 19 in a CBST year round no problems, recently started to carry my new 17, no problems. My brother is the same height as me but weighs about 150, scrawny sum buck! He's tried on my 19 and CBST and wouldn't have any problem toting that around!

It's all how you dress and IMO dont be afraid to carry a big gun! Personally I think to many folks get wrapped around the fear of "printing" and such. In my adventures while carrying I'm certain the sheeple are oblivious you have a gun on you.

Carrying a gun should be comforting, not comfortable!

    Just my honest opinion, ymmv!

A good holster and a pair of pants one size bigger than you would normally wear. Or deep pockets for pocket carry.

Good point! The ones who will "make you" are other carriers. NOT John Q. Public.

Comp-tac MTAC can disappear just about any gun under a tshirt in summer time, and you can even dress up and tuck in a button down shirt over your gun. Remember to practice drawing from whatever rig you buy!

That's how I feel, had a lady bump into me at the grocery store once. She apologized and said I hope your phone is okay!

My phone was in my pocket, she bumped into my 19 haha.

I got a drawer full of high dollar holsters. Paid $20 for a vers-carry and have not used anything else since. I'm 5-10 and 155lbs. I carry a G19, SR9C,LC9,CZ 75C,and a Steyr S9-A1 all using the same Versa-Carry. If you don't like it you ain't spent but $20. I love mine. I wish someone would have loved me enough to tell me what I just told you before I spent a king's ransom on holsters.
A GOOD gunbelt is better than a high-dollar holster and a cheep belt. Spend your money on the belt.

You won't even notice the tiny bit of extra thickness. Hell, if you've been carrying a heavy 1911 you may not even notice the Glock at all.

Been carrying a 26 in a Crossbreed for years and just this week got a Milt Sparks VM2 that I have been waiting for.
    I hate the thing.
First of it's about an 1 1/4 longer than it needs to be because there is a long blank area of leather in front of the muzzle that extends the holster too far down. It's long enough that you could fit a full size 1911 in it.
Second it rides very high - for me.
Third there is no way to adjust its cant or height.
For the 120 + bucks I payed for it plus six months of waiting I find it not worth it in the least.
Went back to my Crossbreed as of tonight.
Thus.......I definitely recommend you take a serious look at Crossbreed.

Here is an image to show that blank space in front of the muzzle that I find totally unnecessary.

I have been using a M.I.C. holster for almost two years now. I like it.

Thanks guys for the replies. I'm new to glocks, and used to 1911s, so gotta get used to differances, especially with glocks safe action trigger...

Hard core, I have been carrying over 35 years and being a retired old fart Floridain I live in T shirts and shorts. I carry a G30 OWB with no problems or discomfort. Never been queationed or "made" (that I know of). The thing is, everybody is so hung up on checkin' themselves out in windows and mirrors that nobody notices you printing. Another legal carrying person or a LEO may notice but that is of no concern to me. Comfort rules!
