When you do something like that, Did you have to have it registered as an AOW and a SBR? Or just one or the other? Ive been trying to
talk myself into a suppressor and SBR upper for my AR, But I cant
right now because of the BATF taxes. One day though.

What brand of barrel are you using?

    Looks mean, and Fun.

Just SBR, once it's a SBR you can put anything on it like the front combo mag/grip. If it just had that and no stock it would be an AOW I believe. That's only $5.00 to the gov the last I checked. SBR is $200.00

Factory Glock longslide barrel cut and threaded.

On the AR15 if you have heard a suppressed one then this does not apply, If you have not a 22 and a Good 9mm can gets down to pellet gun quiet. Hollywood Quiet. I have a Gemtech for my M16, since it goes faster than the speed of sound the bullet created a ballistic crack downrange, (think airplane and sonic boom) since it’s downrange you can’t do anything about it other than us Subsonic ammo but that slows the bullet down so much it will drop like a rock at 100 yards and since speed is everything for a 223 subsonic in my book is semi pointless.

223 cans at best with standard ammo sound like a standard 22. It does shut them up quite a bit but still it sounds like a 22

9mm (quality can) and most 22 cans are pellet gun quiet, they don’t sound like a gun at all.

If it was my first can I would go with a 22 or at most a 9mm, those are a hoot, mostly just the action slapping around and a bit of a whoosh air sound. You could always get a 9mm upper for your AR and use the can on any 9mm pistol or rifle if you get the right one.

Not as much as I would have liked but quite a bit. 50-75 yard gun. I need to shim the stock a bit, there is slight play in it.

    sir good day

I would like to ask where you had your glock project assembled? In the US?

Where can I buy a threaded and extended glock barrel?

    Thank you.

Thank you, I hope you can translate back to him, the Barrel is A Glock Longslide barrel (17L barrel) I had cut and threaded by SWR. The rest of the bulid I did myself which is really just a snap in place project.

  9. No worry. I think he understands English perfectly well.

He posted in our language on the assumption that you're one of the US based Filipinos who frequent this forum.

    :welcome: to BOGs Rockets.

There are a bunch of makers that have premade threaded barrels in the US. Can you legally order a barrel from here?

    almost home
He's going to have to order it through a licensed
firearms dealer(Philippines), and that means a very hefty
    premium over US retail.

    Neat project, by the way!

Thanks, And ouch on the charges, since it is a factory longslide glock barrel I take it that there is just no one there that deals in a decent line Glock parts without haveing to order from across borders, cutting and threading I think could be done locally, there, I take it finding a Glock G17L barrel in the country is the problem?
