I heard a believable rumour today that Glock will announce a single stack compact .380 at the Shot Show 2014. It will be similar in size to the Ruger LCP. Sorry, cannot disclose my source!

I could see it being the size of a 26, 27, maybe even a 36. But I would be shocked if they put something out that small.

That's what I thought when I heard but was told it was not a case of the Glock 25 and 28 being available here, but an entirely new concept!

Not importable. So, going to reduce limited USA capacity currently producing $500 guns they can't make enough of in order to make $350 guns? When they could make it locked breech and 9mm and make 'em in Austria, simply mashing up the G26 and G36 blueprints to get a sweet single stack 9mm that would sell for $500/$600?

    Not rational.

Hey, not saying they may not do something irrational, but then again... why would they tell anyone a year in advance if they were about to do something dumb?

    Oh, USA
If they have the resources to design it they should produce it. If it works like a Glock it should sell like hairspray in Nashville.

Gonna play heck with GSSF though.

    Major Sub.

    Sub Compact.

    Really really Sub Compact.

It's still .380...who really cares? There are so many SMALL 380's out there to carry if you wanted to.

I think it would be a waste of their time to come out with a .380 that would compete with the LCP types. A small single stack 9mm, .40 or .45 would be a bigger seller. And until I see it, I doubt it will happen. They've pretty much missed the boat in those markets IMO.

    Every time someone mentions 1.) a GLOCK carbine, 2.) a 9mm single-stack GLOCK, or 3.) a USA-legal .380 GLOCK God kills a kitten:

I keep hearing this "not importable" excuse, but I don't believe it. People said they would like a single stack, slim 9mm, but it won't be importable. Why is it that companies like Walther can import something like the Walther PPS? This non-importable excuse is just not acceptable anymore. Look at the single stack Springfield XD, The Beretta Nano, the single stack Sigs. All these other companies can build and sell what Glock owners have been wanting for a lot of years now, from Glock. Mr. Glock needs to get off the new Mrs. Glock and get back to work. Where does it say these are made?
