Hi guys, I have a G-33 and I am planning on getting a Glock 40 cal. barrel. (G-27) I know this is just a drop in exchange. I like the power of the 357 Sig, and I am more accurate with it. but can't find any right now. Anywhere I go there is plenty of 40 cal. So that's why I am going to get a G- 27 barrel.. But I was wondering if I could also do the same thing with the G-26 barrel (9mm) would that work also, as just a simple drop in. If so I could have 3 calibers with one gun. Thanks

although you can get a conversion to a 9mm you would also have to get 9mm mags. even then it would not be ideal for carry for the fact of the difference in breachface size, ejector position, and extractor, although small it could be a factor as far as reliability. for target practice a 9mm conversion barrel and mags and your set.
for the .40 you would just need a barrel and you have a 27.
I have a sig barrel and a 9mm + mags for my .40 and they have all been 100%. they are for my 23 but work in my 27 also.

G26 barrel is too small in outside diameter.

    NO NO NO!!!
    It will not work.
You need a third party 40-9mm conversion barrel and 9mm mags (G26).
I run all three calibers in my G27.
And the OEM RSA is the same for gen 3 G26/27/33 guns!
I've got 6000 rounds on my gun, 2000 per caliber,
with just barrel and mag changes.

Lone Wolf, KKM and Storm Lake are some of the more popular
    40-9mm barrel manufacturers.

    I personally use Storm Lake.
And have ran over 1000 hollow points with zero issues.

as I said, in the 9mm it must be a conversion barrel. a 26 barrel will not work.

The unreliability of a 9mm case on the .40 breech face and extractor isn't much of a deal for the RANGE. Since you're going to CARRY .40 or .357 you're just fine. I'd only worry about reliability if I carried it in 9mm, but that would be silly given your other two options.

I've shot more rounds of all types (JHP, FMJ) out of a converted G27 and G23 without issue than any other firearm I've ever fired.

Even the converted G27 is way more reliable than the 3 kahr 9mm models I've used.
