I carry the BG380 in an ankle holster most of the time when it's warm. I have no issues with shooting a .380. I haveit loaded with Zombie rounds - in case I run into zombies.

    Rest of the time it's a M&P 9mm or a Sig 2022.

    If you can carry a G 26, carry a G 36 (45 ACP),I do and a LCP in my pocket.

  3. Agreed. I have a .380 PPK that is used only for backup in a pocket holster if I just absolutely cannot in any way carry something more substantial.

A good belt and holster, you might be surprised at what you can hide.

    In my gun room.
  5. I still love my glock. It is just more comfortable with the 380

There are many places I go that require 100% concealment.

How you must dress also makes a difference.

If the choice is carry no gun or a small gun -

A really slim .380 is a fine choice.

    It is not a G26 VS a BG380 - it is no gun or a .380.

    First, learn to conceal.

Second, conceal the pistol with the highest muzzle energy you can shoot well.

My Xds is sexy. A 6 shooter has stopped plenty of baddies so I'm ok with mine when I don't wanna carry the g23.
If you can carry a 380 I'm sure you could manage a shield or Xds 9mm is far superior to 380 IMO

These days 9mm single stack micros are nearly the same size as a .380.

The Kahr 380 is still noticeably smaller than the Kahr 9mm.

I have both and rarely feel the need for the 380, but I do very occasionally need something that small.

I too am adopting for the LCP during the hot season. With the correct ammunition and proficient use I think I am confident. Sure have grown used to that G27 over the years though! Now that I am crafting deep concealment holsters using the Old Faithful kits, I have lots of options. If nothing else the LCP can be carried by my wife or daughter ... We will see this summer.

Putting your 26 aside for a Bodyguard? You're kidding, right?

I have both, but the 26 is my EDC.

This. I carry my Ruger LCP while jogging as it is much easier to conceal wearing shorts and a tank top

Would carry my G26 loaded with Hornady Critical Defense over any .380. IMHO it is a no brainer.

  15. I carry a G23 daily and always have my LCP BUG loaded with Hornady CD in my pocket. (DeSantis Super Fly) The 380 is not my primary but it's better than nothing at all.

I can see switching to the .380 to go do something like play golf. But to switch from a G26 to a small .380 for the summer, no. I live in Phoenix, Arizona I don't have a problem carrying a G26 daily in the summer. So no I don't see that.

    I live in Tampa Florida.
And on steamy summer days easily conceal a HK45C,
    or P2000SK, depending on attire.
How you carry and dress is everything.

    I've got a MK40, and a pair of J-Frames,
if for some reason I need to be really discreet.

    But a .380?
    Forget it.

I really think bad choices in clothing and holsters are more the cause.

Concealed carry is supposed to be comforting.
    Not comfortable.

  19. Just to add my two cents worth (after inflation, worth nothing) I carried a .380 Sig P238 for a couple of years when the G19 wouldn't hide. When the Sig P938 came out I traded up and the Glock stays in the safe a lot. It hides well in both pocket and IWB holster and is comfortable all day in either. Got me.:dunno:

I have the same 2 guns, they both have their place. I carry the 26 more often but the bodyguard is a lot more convenient.
