I did this with some grip tape for stairs from home depot so far it's holding very well.

Looks very good. Mind telling us which brand of tape? Everyone I've bought for other reasons seems to be very thick.

its 3M safety tape for stairs (Home Depot) very thin and really sticky it is also no slip tape so it holds really well.

sandpaper what I did is clean your grip as well as you can with so de greaser or alcohol
and then place the tape where you want it heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun but don't don't get it to hot also make sure you cut the middle 1/4 of the tape when doing the back side of the grip it really helps it stick flat. (on any round parts)
