    Simple query -
Who's got a Glock 19C and did you experience damage to your night sights or not?

    Interested in the following details
After installation - Round count, ammunition type, front sight post type/make.

    Not interested in
Your opinion about whether or not I "need" a compensated firearm
    Caliber dickmeasuring
Myths about compensated weapons causing night blindness or serious injury

Although I cannot help you with your inquiry as to this C model Glock. I can, however, congratulate you on how cool this post is.

I'm actually pretty surprised you didn't experience any blackening with .40S&W or .357 Sig. Both are obviously based on the same cartridge and loaded to retardedly high pressures. Speaks well of the methodology Glock put into into how to properly port their weapons, with the porting running parallel to the length of the barrel rather than perpendicular to it.

The only damage per say that I've experienced with the 19C and night sights is the white lacquer or paint around the tritium tube gets burned off and eventually leaves a space between the sight and the tritium tube after a couple hundred rounds. Just filled it in with nail polish and it looks just like normal.

    G19C w/ Meprolights.

I have somewhere around 300 rounds with the night sights and haven't experienced any discoloration.

17C with Trijicon NS installed by Glock at the factory (L.E./Mil program weapon).

Over 800 rounds now, 2+ years old, multiple types of ammo (usually use range-type target ammo like WM Champion, CCI Blazer, and WWB), no problems with the front sight at all. Usually use Break-Free CLP for cleaning, including a quick pass over the face of the front sight insert with a CLP-dampened cotton swab, then a dry one to wipe off any excess.

Like others have already stated, no issues with Trijicons.
