I just picked up a g19 rtf2 and was wondering if they are desirable ? I know the fish gill rtf2's are rare but what about these ? Anyone have production numbers of each? Go easy on me guys , I'm new to forums and glocktalk.

I think they were produced in roughly the same numbers. If anything I would say the non-gill versions are more rare (from what I've seen), but the gill versions seem to be more desirable because the "gill" is the largest visually distinguishing characteristic between an RTF and a regular Glock.

Either way, you bought a fantastic Glock. In my opinion the RTF models were the pinnacle of "Glock Perfection".

If you are willing to sell it, it would go nice with my gilled 19 RTF2. Nice score and don't blast me for trying :tongueout:

Yes, desirable in a $450 used gun way, if you are planning to sell it.

    Best,

I paid $475 after paying my ffl his $25 so I probably didnt get the best deal however it was mint with only 50 rounds through it. I haven't seen many for sale so I jumped on this one even though its not the gill variety. Thanks for the replies everyone , I plan on shooting it this weekend and if I dont like the texture I may sell it.

Thats not bad at all. In my neck of the woods that's the average rate for a used standard Gen 3. Just don't be one of those guys that takes sandpaper to the grips ;)

Not gonna sand paper the grips since I already have the g26 for carry. If I was going to carry the 19 I would have to swap it out for a gen3 or gen4 , that texture would tear my pasty white skin apart:)
