Oh believe me when I say it was a lot of fun. Honestly it was quite uncontrollable. I would still buy one in a heartbeat if I could.

I had an MP5 built by a guy in Oklahoma out of a german parts kit. So everyone he builds for he invites to his house every year for a shoot. They also had an M134 minigun they shot while I was there. I also got to shoot a full auto M16, UMP 45, and got to see even more guns fired. It was a lot of fun. A very Lon drive from SC to OK but fun.

I shot one in a familiarization course a while back. While it was bad ass to shoot, it's rather impractical for everyday SD. In tight, controlled bursts of two or three rounds, a guy can keep rounds on target. Full auto... Fugeddaboutit! It climbs fast and ends up spraying the sky over the BG. I figure I can fire a couple hammers and do way better than squirting them out at that rate. Plus I'd never be able to afford feeding that thing!

Iv'e shot both the G18 and G18C, and the G18C is easier to control. Both are designed for short bursts at up to 10 yards.

Going through 33 rounds in less than 2 seconds is an amazing experience.

Also shot an equally amazing G28 while at a meeting in Smyrna.

Yeah, if I could own 1 fully automatic weapon, the G18C would be it!

I were to own a fully auto firearm, it certainly wouldn't be this gimmick. I want something a little more practical and controllable, like a long gun.

Do you mean Stillwater? I'm not familiar with Stillwell, and neither is google maps...I live about 2.5 hours from Stillwater...BTW, sounds like a great time, and like many others here, I'm very jealous!
