My supplier called me today, and said she got a few 17L's in stock.

How different is this from the 24? Is one better than the other?

Are these desirable? I'm thinking of getting all of her stock but wasn't sure if I was stocking a model that isn't in demand.

What is a decent price on these as well on the street? $600?

    The only difference between the 24 and 17L is caliber. The 24 is a .40 S&W while the 17L is a 9mm.

They are desirable in my opinion as I want one. I don't have one yet. They seem to go from $580 - $600.

I think that once the 17L were in pretty high demand from comp shooters. Now that Glock is producing the 34/35 the demand and attention has shifted to those models. They "fit in the box" and the old long slide models do not. I was going to get a 17 until the other day and I was able to fondle and shoot a few rounds out of a new Gen 4 35 at the range. It was sweet, I have decided that is going to be my next purchase. My G23 is lonely and needs a big brother. I still would not mind adding a 17L to the collection if the price was right.

The 17Ls are desirable to a small niche market. That's why Glock only does a small run every couple years. Collectors and plinkers will snatch up the current run in six months and then you will see threads asking "where are they?". Then the street price will go up a little until the next limited run.

Exactly. Thats exactly the reason why i've already sold 5 of them today. It's like a Glock 17T. When I see one, I am intrigued!

Interesting, I didn't know that the 17L was not IDPA usable due to the fact it won't fit in the box.

That being said, I think I'll grab 6 or more as they are somewhat rare so it appears.

    Thanks for all the responses.

this member posted several NIB 17L's, email for price.
Not sure who it is or how much they want, but it sounds like this might help a couple people here. Good luck.

Yeah I just got off the phone with my supplier, Glock only makes them once and awhile, so this run is pretty limited. She said they still had 98 of them, so I told her to ship em all to me if they will take a check....:)

Damn it looks funny, but with that sight radius, it must be a tack driver.

As usual my timing is poor! I was just getting ready to list my LNIB Gen3 17l for sale. Looks like I will wait until they dry up again. :crying:
