We will have the Texas Star at the GLIPSC match this Thursday.

    Bring plenty of ammo.

Do I need more than 2 mags? Will I need to bring mag pouches? I haven't gotten around to getting those yet.

If you want to do competitions you'll need at least four mags. Six is better.

Mag pouches are really helpful but you can just chuck all your spare mags in your back pocket if you need to. If you don't have a holster they will start you in a "low ready" position.

When I ask how many mags do I need... I'm really referring to tomorrow's shoot. I'll just bring what I have and make do... so long as the items I don't have are absolutely necessary.

Always bring at least 3 - 4 mags to an IPSC match.
No one now how many you will need. It depends on how many times you miss.

I love the Texas Star but I have to do the home owners association thing tonight and I can't get out of it. Good luck , the star is a blast to shoot.

Man, you must know that your life is officially over when you're a member of a home owner's association.

I hear ya. It's really only a few times a year but it happens to be tonight. The rules are tight enough. If you don't get involved who knows how silly it could get. There are a few families that would like to see the speed limit lowered to 15 mph instead of the current 25.

Here's a suggestion: Propose an ordinance that requires everyone over the age of 18 in the neighborhood to own and qualify with an AR-15. Then tell the folks concerned with the speed limit that you'll back their proposal if they back yours.
