No doubt we pay dearly for quality pedals, but they're worth it - I try to buy used whenever I can. The classifieds section on normally has plenty of used, high-end stuff available, and it's my go-to place to see what's out there. I've kind of been thinking of getting a couple of the DIY pedal kits, but I'm skeptical of my ability to put them together well.

    Alvarez right? Nice.

That Pauly in the middle and that strat to the right of it are hot.

What color is that Strat? Charcoal Frost? Tungsten?

I've done a few of those DIY pedals. Messing up can actually be interesting sometimes... you can produce a whole other effect that you didn't intend. I screwed up an OD kit and it made this crazy 8 bit computer fuzz. Sounded cool but not something you could use a lot. Made for nasty solos though.
