Was at an outdoor, unmanned range recently...(which i love). and saw some of the funniest shooting ever. Im laughing right now just thinking about it.I am by no means a gun snob, but these guys took the cake.Thugmaster #1 who was tryin to teach his lil homie how to shoot was sportin the ever popular Lorcin .380 His partner had a nickle or chrome plated Jiminez 9 mm. The leader started to shoot first... Arm turned sideways, and thrusting his elbow out with every shot. Almost like he was a boxer throwing a jab. So after a watchful eye thugmaster #2 gave it a try. Sideways goes the arm, but without the jab. When all of a sudden i see him start hollerin and dancin. I thught that maybe he was performing a rap song, But come to find out his Jiminez was spittin hot casings into the air and one landed on the back of his neck... Thats when thugmaster#1 proceeded to tell his partner he was a fool, and thats the reason for the jab. (apparantly you are supposed to yell yeah, yeah, mutha #%#@a) after each shot as well. At this point I was getting such a kick out of these guys I decided to go talk to them... They were actually very funny. They asked me what kind of gat I was blastin with. They didnt seem to impressed with my "oldschool" 1911 with the "ancient looking" wood grips. But were very proud of the 2 beauties they just bought at a local gun show. After chatting it up for a few minutes they offered me to join them in smoking a blunt... I declined and was on my way... gotta love it !!!!!

Thats the problem with public ranges. Sad thing is they were probably function testing the gun to go out and pull a robbery.

People like that showing up is your cue to get the eff outta there.

  3. Yeah, I would have got the hell out of there!

I've left the range several times because the "wrong" people showed up. Usually it was because I didn't want to get shot by unsafe shooters.

That video was illuminating. I now realize my taunting skills are severely below the desired intimidation level. "Your GPA is too low to get you into a decent college!" just ain't gonna cut it in a contested environment.

I tried to help a guy next to me at an indoor range. He was having a terrible time jerking his arm back when firing, just like you described. His target was at 7 feet.

I worked with him for about 15 minutes. He got better. When I went back to my shooting, he went back to jerking his arm again. finally he got so upset, he left.

13 posts and only one story of someone actually trying to help. Refuse to help then go to a forum and insult. Interesting.

Talking about interesting I would like to see the ones passing judgment shoot.

With the same amount of effort it took to post here there could have been 2 more shooters in the world

I'm waiting for fnfalman to chime in with some words of wisdom and a lesson about racism and tolerance seeing as how this is Black history month:rofl:

Yeah, you really should have booked it on out of there, but not before getting a quick pic of their license plate for the authorities.

I'm sure their car was easy to spot in the parking lot:rofl:

    Dude, now you're funny!

Yeah, I'm sure they would have been all ears....

On occasion, I have tried to help. I received variants of "I got my style, I don't need no help!" I have decided to limit my efforts to simply ensuring everyone on the line goes home uninjured.

The last person that I would want to help shoot is the individual that I figure is a potential criminal. Their lack of shooting skills and/or training may give a law-abiding citizen the edge, that may save the law-abiding citizen’s life. Who knows, the law-abiding citizen’s life that is saved, may be my own.

Getting high and shooting guns, a winning combination!

    Like alcohol and night swimming.

Sarcasm right? I don't think I want those two to know how to shoot. Am I wrong?
