Just picked up two tickets to my first NFL game!

I finally get to watch the Falcons play, does anyone know if they will let me carry into the Dome? I don't want to get turned away at the gate.

On a separate note I have a link for discounted tickets. The Falcons are having a Public Safety day on November 18th. If you are interested PM me and I'll send the information.

    ----
ETA: I will be calling the office on Monday. Just wanted to see if anyone here had any prior experience.

Call the Georgia Dome management directly and speak to the security manager. Some venues will and some will not. The NFL has no set rule.

    Circling the wagons.
Are there any laws against it, particularly for a peace officer?

If not, the question should be "will they check me for weapons?"

At the stadium here there is a specific entrance for officers / off duty officers to use such that the screening is done by officers and not by whoever it is that screens the general admission gates.

I work at BOFA stadium and it is clearly marked with "no weapons" signs everywhere. Plus the metal detectors and pat downs. I would say no to bringing your gun.

    For those interested:

No weapons on property unless responding to a call or working dignitary protection.

Oh well, I'm still going to enjoy the game :D

Yup....I was told the same thing at a concert. They were patting down people at the entrance.

  15. I know that in Chicago I was told I could meet with security and lock my gun up but I could not take it inside.

But Illinios has it own rules when it comes to guns.....
