Having bought from GA Arms before if they use the term "new" then the ammo is almost certainly "new manufactured" in other words, new brass loaded in their factory. Generally the "canned heat" that they sell is remanufactured, in other words, used brass. It sounds as if the "New Canned Heat" is bulk pack "new" ammo. The $400 one is probably not bulk pack. Bulk pack for them will be loose ammo in a .30 cal. or .50 cal. ammo can (whichever size is needed for the quantity.) You can give them a call, they have always been courteous and helpful when I have called.

that makes sense, thanks for helping to clarify. so for the new ammo, i guess you pay a $10 premium for nicely sorted boxes of ammo versus the canned heat.

  4. Where would they get their supply of used 10mm brass?:headscratch:

They probably get their once fired 10mm brass from ranges. There are several places that sell once fired 10mm brass.

No boxes for handgun ammo. They will most likely be packaged in heavy duty heat sealed plastic bags. Some of their rifle ammo will come in nice plastic reusable boxes but I have never seen their handgun ammo in anything other than loose pack or the plastic bags. The bags are sturdy and well sealed and are much easier to store than boxes.

i'm pretty sure when they use the term "canned heat" it means medium/medium-high pressured rounds. which in the case of a 180gr bullet, should be going about 1300fps

    1. What is "Canned Heat"?
Canned Heat is bulk packaged ammunition in military surplus cans.

The velocity is listed below the pic at 1100fps. The canned heat should be loose rounds in an ammo can, the other one should be ammo packed per 50 rounds in plastic pouches.
