I have a Gen4 23 that I would like to shoot .357 reliably. I know that I need a barrel. Remind me of what else I need.

I just bought a Gen 4 G23 and bought a .357 barrel, put 170 rounds today through it with no issues. The barrel was the only thing required. I certainly prefer the .357 to the .40 after shooting today.

If you're going to carry in .357, then get the magazines too. Some say the followers are slightly different, some say they are the same. Regardless, what could a few extra mags hurt?

I have read that the magazines are the same but you're right, why not have extra magazines?? I've got a dozen G19 mags

A Glock OEM barrel would be my choice for carry, although my LW 357 sig barrel for my G24 is flawless after more than 1,000 rounds.

I have never had to buy 357 sig magazines. My .40 s&w mags work perfectly. Although I seem to recall reading about some folks having a little bit of trouble with .40 mags.

Just the barrel. Mags if you feel like it. Then they'll be labeled properly, at least.

LOL - the followers are definitely different.
For carry, get some OEM G32 mags with that barrel my friend.
You may never have a problem with 357 in 40 mags.
But it's cheap insurance and you're worth it.

You can always get the mags or followers later, if you end up actually needing them.

Any issues using the Gen3 mags in a Gen4 G23?

I have a 32 with a .40 barrel. The 357 recoil tends to lessen the up snap of the muzzle enabling me to do more accurate double taps.

    I had no issues using my Gen 3 G23 mags in my Gen 4 G23...in .40. I haven't tried them in .357Sig.
