I hear a Gen 4 G27 recoil spring works in the Gen 3's as well, is this true? Anyone run one? :wavey:

I have . I ran a 0-8 rsa and it worked fine. Kept same poa poi too as far as i could tell.

There is a bit of confusion on the 0-8 vs 0-8-1 tho. The newest model is the 0-8-1 but rumored to have a washer on the end that caused failure to return to battery issues so they switched back to the 0-8 rsa.

Same spring. Nothing changed except of the cap on the end to prevent the spring from hopping over the guide rod.

It does fit, but it's not the same spring. The outer spring is now longer, by a coil or so. If anything the gen 4 feels a bit softer than the gen 3 rsa.

What you have there is the evolution of the 26/27 RSA. It is not generation specific.
