My wife has an OD green Gen 3 G31. She really wants my 21SF to carry at work. A guy she works with wants to trade her a new Gen 4 21 for her 31. She is not a big fan of the Gen 4 grip texture. I will be replacing my 21SF with a 1911 for duty use shortly and was going to give her my 21SF and trade off her OD 31 for a new toy. My question is, would the OD 31 or the Gen 4 21 be easier to trade/sell. I know the OD's are hard to come by.

large size frame guns are about $100 more right out the gate, but the OD... oh damn I wish I had one of those... :)

  3. In your neck of the woods I can only assume it's easier to lay hands on .45 than .357 ammo, so I'd think you could trade off a G21 easier than a 31. :dunno:

I would agree with opie. Why don't you list the OD 31 for $600 and see if you get any bites. You never know what someone is willing to pay for discontinued stuff.

When the color, of a plastic gun, becomes a consideration, I'm giving up plastic pistols.

I have been looking for a G31 OD made during certain years for a while so I have been on the auction sights watching. The few that do come up do not go for anywhere close to $600.

I never said it would sell for $600. I was saying to test the waters. Anything more then $450 is a win for the OP in my book.
Just curious what are you willing to pay for a OD that fits your year of manufacture?

I don't think it is a must have but if one is available for the right price why not.

I was looking for a year before finding my 19.
    Good luck on the search.
