I have a gen 4 17 that I use with no backstrap. I have relatively small hands IMO. I also have a gen 3 23. I shoot the gen 3 23 better than I shoot the gen 4 17. Has anyone with smaller sized hands had an accuracy issue where they needed to put a backstrap on their gen4?

I'm going to add the medium strap for the range tomorrow but I was just curious if anyone has had a similar conundrum. I think I should be able to shoot a 9mm better than a .40 but this does not seem to be the case.

If you feel you need the medium, put it on. If your shooting better with the gen 3 them it would seem like a good idea to put the medium backstrap on, right? Go for it, what's there to lose?

I have large hands and have no backstrap on my gen 4 G19. It couldn't fit my hand better IMO.

Yeah that's why I said I am going to when I hit the range tomorrow. Just seeing if there is any other "small hands" out there who experienced the same thing

Medium backstrap is similar to the Gen 3 experience. I suck with the Gen 3, so I like no backstrap.

You've had the Gen 3 23 longer? May be your hand being use to the placement of the hump. Also if you are use to the snap of the .40, you'd shoot it just as well as the 9mm.
