Hey Guy's I got a Gen 2 G21 from a buddy for a good deal, have a few questions. Being a bit of an older gun (2nd Gen) is it safe and ok to keep it chambered? I carry conealed and I always carry my weapon hot, seems stupid to do otherwise if the situation arises. Also is it possible to tell the general age by the serial number on the frame? and lastly Ive heard you can send your 2nd Gen Glock into Glock for a frame upgrade to a 3rd Gen Frame and an overhaul, is that something worth doing? Input is appreciated.

Yes you can tell the general age by the serial number but more important than age is condition. If it is in good condition it should be reliable.
Glock inc was offering frame upgrades. I do not know if that offer is still valid. The cost for the upgrade was your original frame and $150. Hardly worth pursuing! If you want a Gen3 gun, buy it. That is your cheapest, best buy going!
