George opened his own commrecial metal polishing business over 25 years ago and it was at that time that his interest in knives re-appeared. His previous attempts at knifemaking had not proven very successful but with the knowledge gained through working with stainless steel in his polishing business this new found knowledge was quickly put to the test and once again he started to make knives. Along the way George was on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Knifemakers Guild for three years, opened his own Knife Store, and moved away from the commercial metal polishing to accomodate his full time knifemaking. George's knives have evolved from outdoor knives to bowie, art, folding, kitchen, kosher slaughtering, bris, flensing and reproductions. There have even been a few minatures and of course scrimshaw. Knives have been with us since the beginning of time. The joy of creating functional art and fostering an old world art form is truly rewarding.
