Have you tried to load 9mm in the G42 mag?

Glock should have listened to this Forum two years ago. Now we already have a flood of .380's that are much better than the new G42. I love all my Glock's, but have no desire to replace my daily cc Keltec PF9 with a G42 or a Mustang or a Khar, Ruger or S&W, etc. etc. . Gaston is a day late and $1.00 short on this issue and still there is no Glock single stack 9. Wish I was in charge of Glocks marketing department. jw38

There is a thread on the SigForum. Someone already has a G42, and is posting pics. Checked length, and did NOT feel it would fit the G42 mags, but thought it might fit in the magwell (sort've the G43 "how they gonna do it" type discussion for 9mm).

Don't have time to check forum policy to see if posting a link to a different forum is okay or not, but I was stunned to see a G42 already sold to someone!

    They are out there already!

Do you want to buy a 9mm G42 today? You can. It's called the Kahr P9. Very close to the same dimensions, but in 9mm. If you want even smaller, get the PM9.

They'll release the 9MM version just as soon as everyone gives up hope and buys a g42.

I own a Kahr CW-9 and it is a great shooting gun that is incredibly easy to conceal. The only reason I'm interested in a Glock version is for the trigger.

Not for me! The G42 is of no interest to me at all. I will own the new 9mm Remington R-51, Beretta Pico, or other interesting (to me) newcomers before that would happen!

If the G43 is a 9mm, I will consider it when it arrives. Sadly, it looks like I will probably already have its competition in my safe, so it will have an uphill climb and have to be truly and markedly better in some regard to justify the money. We shall see. Glock's plans and timelines should clarify around SHOT. G42's are already on the street.

In addition to the fact that I think it will be a good fit for my wife and daughter I love the fact it has NO finger grooves. IMHO that plus the gen4 texture would make for the best grip ever!

a 17/19 size Glock in .22 LR or .22 mag with a mag holding 30 to 35 rounds would be nice.

From our standpoint it is stupid but Glock isn't interested in what "we" think. They've spent a fortune following buying trends and they know many female and first time shooters will buy the .380 because it offers them a round with less recoil. Ammo prices are a moot point because these shooters don't really shoot much anyway. Ruger came out with the LC-380 even after the success of the 9MM LC9 because first time buyers (particularly ladies) wanted something that would not "kick" as they put it. The .380 just gives dealers something to put in their hands.
I have no use for the 380 because ammo for them is generally higher. Maybe Glock will offer a full-size service 380 to sell to LEO here in the USA as part of their less-lethal weapons line. They can use them instead of tazers.
