After a neutral feeling over the new 4th Gen. Glocks, I decided to expand my GAP collection with a new G38 3rd Gen. w/nite sights. It was everything positive that I've read about. Great accuracy (maybe the best yet), a joy to shoot with soft recoil and excellent handling characteristics, utilizing Glocks great compact frame (G19, G23, G38). I actually liked it better than my G37! The only other models that have this similar feel are the G29/G30 SF; however, they do lack the freefall mag with less handle grip area. I was fortunate to find one with a dealer handling LE sales. I'm sure if more dealers would carry them and offer as a rental, most "shooters in the know" would have one in their collection. Now for more fun...finding a perfect reload for this puppy!

I am going to my local Police Supply in bout an hour to pick a Glock 37 I have on hold. A trooper friend has the G37 and 39, and he let me shoot both. Needless to say I fell in love with the Glock 37.

The G38 has become my favorite Glock. I'm issued a G37 but carry the G38 offduty. I like the G38 so much that I sold my G30SF.

Dang it! Guys you're killing me! Got my G38 last week and still haven't been able to get to the range with it yet! Do like my G37 - which I have been able to shoot.

    Regards,
    Phil

After I bought my G38 (with factory night sights) I had to go straight to the range to try it out even though it was only 12 degrees out. So far I've put 58 rounds thru it and I'm totally hooked on it. I can't wait till the weather warms up and I can put some real constructive training in with it.

Looking back, everything claimed in August 2005 with Combat Handguns magazine about the G38 (which I later discovered above) was right. Now I got to make up for lost time!

I used my G-36 as a trade for the G-38! The G-36 was easy to carry, but I just wasn't happy with how I shot it. The G-38 is a bit bigger to conceal, but not by much, and I shoot it much better. I am very happy with the trade!

How many of you have sold your G30's after shooting the G38 or G30?

Just had my like new Demo G38 to the range today. Wow. I like it a lot. I plan on doing some more serious shooting with it when the weather gets a bit better.
