Rented a G36 today, and had my 45 ammo from Buffalo & Corbon & Hornady. Holy smokes this little girl had some recoil action going on. Nothing I would notice in the 3 seconds it would take to empty the 7 rounds, but I was quite suprised, as my G29 with full power loads seemed quite a bit tamer.

Anyway - I'm hooked, love the form factor, love the weight (or lack therof)

I'll be getting one of them and a 33 and then my carry collection will be complete!

Oh, a few FTE - the gun looked really dirty though so I'm not judging based on that.

You should shoot my G36 with my light reloads. It is a real pleasure. 99% of my G36 shooting is with light reloads and it is a blast.

I have only used standard pressure rounds to date (speer lawman / ranger T's) and its been fine. I could see though if you went with some higher pressure how it could be pretty snappy.

I stay w/ Hornady XTP, Speer GD, Winchester PDX at standard velocities, it is - after all - 45 caliber. Good Luck

Yeah I was shooting Hornady +P loads XTP (usually use them in my 1911's). I am still going to get one, as I dobut I'll care how hard it recoils if I ever had to use it. I just cant get over how small it is (and I have a 26)

My G-36 is possibly the most accurate and reliable pistol I have ever owned. Thought of myself a 1911 guy until my wife complained my 1911 was ruining her couch and seeing she is a Glock 17 girl I went to the G-36. She is happy and so am I. It's fussy about my reloads but we know that my fault not the guns.
