Its kinda weird...how fast the G36 grew on me. I find myself missing it while its gone back to the factory to get the peening issue fixed, even though I have my trusty 1911 to carry in the meantime...I still miss the G36, and I only carried it a couple of weeks before I had to send it back.
I'm always late to the party. Love my 36. initially had the FTE/FTF problems some guys have. Its a gun that needs to be held firm. Switched out the spring with a new OEM one since bought it used (really was like new) once I learned to hold on it ran flawlessly. I carry it now so I'm confident in it.
After about 400 rounds I am starting to hit the kill zone. I like the gun very much.
I too had some malfunctions at first. I'm using a hand exerciser, plus the gun may be "breaking in." Last session I had one stovepipe out of 50 rounds.
We have carried our G36 in confidence since 2002. Recently purchased a G43 and a G30S which are also very good. Our G36 now gets an occasional day off after so much faithful service.
Same here. My G36 is my EDC with 230gr JHP +p HST rounds. On the range it is very accurate - I shoot it as well or sometimes even better than my G19 and G17!
I bought my 36 from my best friend. Its run perfectly through hundreds of rounds already for me. I only wish it had the gen4 grip texture.
