Has anyone changed to aftermarket adjustable sights on yhere glock 34?

I have been looking around and i am more confused now.

Some offer a .285 tall front sight or a .300 tall front sight your choice when ordering?

    What is stock?

Why would you want a taller front sight?

I went through this on my G19. I also own a G34. On my G19, I went with Dawson Precision fiber sights with a .285 front sight. I called the guy who sold & installed them before purchasing them. The .285 height allows you to 6 o'clock sight...i.e., the bullet point of impact at 25 yds is just above your front sight dot. With .300 height, your point of impact is where the dot is. Since I use my for competing and carrying, I wanted the 6 o'clock (.285) version. I didn't want to cover up targets like steel plates.

    I hope that helps.

Isn't something .165"? I need to get my Glock Reference Manual in front of me...

Stock Glock front sight is .165"

The stock front height will not work with most adjustable rears. Dawson adjustables require a .285" for most Glocks or a .300" for the 17L.

I think LPI and Pachmayr make low profile adjustables that work with the stock front.

With the .285 front sight on my Glk 34 I have my sights setup to the point of aim, not low. I have never tried to set it up for shooting low. I still have room to lower my rear sight if needed,
