Has anyone here used larger mags in their subcompact Glocks? I know the magazines are compatible and I was curious if anyone has tried it and has any feedback. I was looking at the magazine adapters online and the ones on Top Gun Supply seemed to be the best to me, but I'm a noob so I could be off (links: 22->27 23->27).

I would probably still carry (when I get my CCW) with the standard 9-round mags but would like a bit more capacity for range shooting.

Also, does anyone have any experience with Top Gun Supply? I know to stay away from that group of sites that's all owned by that massive company (tsgcom or something) but haven't read any feedback about this store.

I've used the 22 mag in the 27, with and with out a mag "oversleave". It didn't work for me, I think I applied too much downward pressure on the longer mag.

Could you be a little more specific as to how it didn't work? Did the sleeve not properly fit the mag? Did the mag not properly seat in the gun with the sleeve? Or did it just not fit your hand?

I think the problem was my hand exerting too much downward pressure on the mag body - pulling the critical parts slightly out of alignment-(only when the sleave was installed).

When I used the G22 mag w/o the sleave, things went ok.

So I think it was my fault.

i've used longer mags in the 27, 29, 30, and 39 and in competition and never had the first problem, except the 30 and it's still a piece of **** regardless of what mag is in it.

My G27 is my daily carry weapon, with the standard 9+1 rounds.

My spare magazine is a G22 mag w/ the +2 extension, giving me 17 rounds in reserve.

I have yet to have a problem using the G22 mag in the G27.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll definitely have to pick up some g22 mags for the range. I don't think I'll put the +2 on them though, I tried those on my 9rd mags and still wasn't able to get 11 rounds (one still only took 9, the other took 10) and got a few FTFs while I had them on so I just put the stock baseplates back on.

Is Top Gun Supply a decent store? Their prices seem to be the rest around and the flat-rate shipping is nice too.

I tried on for a g17, but the follower kept binding up, making it unusable.

I'm sorry, those mags are just ridiculous and I see no use for them.

How can you even justify them for range use? Wouldn't they hurt you more then help since in most any real-life scenario you aren't going to have a loaded 29rd clip at your disposal and the weight and center of gravity would be much different?

I did end up getting a pair of G22 mags and sleeves. I haven't had a chance to shoot with them yet but I'll most likely go today or tomorrow and report back to you guys how they worked for me.

EDE, you say the 30 is a piece of - - - -? In whatway? I and my two sons have each had a 30 for several years with no malfunctions at all after several thousand rounds. I would still carry it if I could conceal it as well as the 27.

those Scherer mags are great you just need to change the followers
in my experience, althoguh te one mag i have ftf at least ywice is the 29 rounds and for th elife of me i can't figure out what is different between that mag and the other Scherers i have
