I took my new G26 to the range today. Attended my Handgun Basics training class which was really good. The instructor was very experienced, very safety conscious, and most of all was very patient with our group of 6 newbies. The class was about 3 hours long and covered a variety of topics - 4 basic rules, a bunch of safety videos, grip, stance, sighting, breathing. Ended with an extended session about safety and storage. Extremely educational and beneficial. Best part - after class we all got to shoot some guns! Here are my targets after I was done - one at 5 (closer group) and one at 10 yards. The G26 is one sweet gun. I think I'm in love... Thanks to those who suggested I take a class. It was great advice and the class really helped.
