I've had so-so experience with G22s. My last two G23s out shot them. This seems counterintuitive, since the 22 has a longer barrel, sight radius, etc.

The G22 has a barrel non-AT marked. The G23 has an AT barrel. I hear this means 'made in Austria.'

I sold the 23 and hate myself for it. Is there anything I can do to wring more accuracy out of the 22...? They've always been ... average for me.

I have never shot a compact Glock but was not happy with the .22 and was not accurate. Tried a 21 and was more accurate from the first shot. Am not experienced enough or scientific enough to know the reason, but I only need to know one feels better and is more accurate. I will live with the extra cost of the ammunition while I order a .22 conversion kit so I can afford to shoot more.

G21s I've owned were butt-kickers in the accuracy dept. I gave up on them because of the width.

I guess I could sell the 22, and plunk down some extra ching for a new 23. They're $509 around here. I admit they feel better in my hand too. I sold the wrong one! :crying:

Look for a used G23. I got my Gen 4 G23 used and love it. Glocks can handle use and be as good as new.

I have no complaints about the accuracy of my Glock G 22's of the three their is none that are more or less acurate than another. I do not have a G 23 to compare them two,I do however have a G 19 and the accuracy is on par with the G 22's. SJ 40

Makes no sense, but I shoot tigher groups with my G27 than I do with my G23, at least within 15 yards.

It's all how well the grip fits your hand. I have owened both 23and 22 and feel more confident with the larger grip area of the g22. its all on how the gun fits each shooter.

I'm luvin my rtf2 g23, and with the 40-9mm conversion barrel, got the best of both worlds. Feeds and shoots reliably(both barrels) with insight wx150 tact light and wolff steel guide rod w/18# spring. Havent shot my rtf2 g22 yet, looking to trade for a gen4 g22 in fde. So i cant comment in that dept...

I have too many guns and need to sell some (yeah right )... Of all my pistols, I shoot none better than my Gen 2 G22. There is an issue with mine having the longer rear frame rails of its day (1992) which become damaged with use, but the gun is so accurate in my hands that I cannot sell it. I'm just going to shoot it until they break...if they break.

BTW, the G22's of today have the shorter rear rails to correct the problem I am experiencing.

Chances are, either one will out shoot you mechanically. It's all about how your hand works the gun. I am more accurate with my 27 and 22 than I am with my 23. They all shoot the same out of a ransom rest.

I am more accurate with my 22 than the 23.The full sized frames fit my hand better.

    My G22 is zen-like accurate.

Yesterday at 7 yds. Freehand I fired two consecutive 3 shot groups slow aimed fire. Each group of three went Into one hole not much bigger than .40 inch. It startled me. I can do that occasionally with my 1911
But I never expected that from a glock

In my own experience I have to say my Gen3 23 will outshoot my older Gen2 Glock 22 at the same distances. Also an LE friend who carries a Gen 2 23 also shoots better than my older Gen2 22. It may be due to the grip angle , because the grip is more in line with the bore when I hold the 23 out straight. It doesn't seem to point too high for me.

My G-23 Gen 4 shoots as well as my G-22 Gen 3 which shoots as well as my G-17 Gen 3.

They're all fine, accurate guns for me. I love 'em all.

My G23 gen4 has been the most accurate, or easy to shoot well, Glock that I have owned yet. Or any gun, ever, for that matter. I think it was made with me in mind :)
