I clicked on the glockmiester link by accident and discovered what I consider a retail outrage.

Aren't LE pricing about $50 less then that for NEW?

If your not LE then it dont matter if its $50 for a gun you cant get that price, the used guns go by civilian pricing

    Wow. That's insane?

I bought a used Glock21sf + background check + tax and it was still a bill less.

    I guess I got lucky?

Police trade-in or not, that's a fair price.

You sir sound like a firearms dealer defending these outrageous resale practices.
Shouldn't we help and educate each other on GT instead of defending the "robbers"?

Keep looking--I found my G21 Gen3 (LE trade-in) for about $375. Lots of holster wear, but after a detailed strip and replacement of some obviously worn out parts, it has become my nightstand pistol.

I've seen Gander Mountain (in Charleston, WV) selling police trade in G22's for nearly $500!

If you are buying a new blue label glock you are correct, I know I got my blue label G23 for $385 OTD, but that was almost 6 years ago. The way the program was explained to me.... I could NOT turn around and sell the weapon for more than I paid for it, since the program is set up for LE, Military, etc.

Actually that is not correct. If he is buying new... then yes, he must qualify for blue label. However buying a used former LE weapon..... most I have seen go for around $400 if not less. If you are buying a used former LE weapon you do not have to be LE. However I believe the same rules apply for those weapons that applied for mine when I bought it.... can't sell for higher than the original purchase price.... which means that the seller is trying to pull a quick one and most likely will make his quick profit on a person who is none the wiser. Which means that for him... he has the weapon priced correctly. For the OP... I personally would keep looking... unless it is really what you want then get it and don't look back and don't worry that you paid too much for it.

    Just my .02

    Mungrol Out!!!

If you don't like the price, then don't buy it? Its the free market at work. If someone pays 479 then they pay, if not the gun sits on a shelf and doesn't get sold? If you run a business wouldn't you like to make a profit or be nickled and dimed out of business?

A LEO trade in where I live for that gun is $325. Not sure if that's the market price or just the price I as military get for it. I know new they are $398, after tax $427 out the door. Yes, I am taking great advantage of it. The .45's are a little higher, I thing $485 out the door. I'm getting a G30 next.

OP, wouldn't it be better to contact the seller with this question, rather than chastising them on a public forum?

    Do you work for glockmiester?

That's true, but i didn't want fellow GT'ers getting burned from this sort of practice by not being the wiser.

Glockmiester, I apologize. More power to ya!

It's called free market and a business trying to make a living and having paid employees. It's not the best price IMO, but fair.
