Well i had purchased a used G21 Police trade in and the finish was very bad,So i decided to start a polish job on it and 1/2 way thru i decided to shoot it to see how it did,So i did a complete detail strip and it would not cycle with a full mag in it,,,Really had me stumped,,,,So i got to looking real good this morning and well looks like i am out $400 as right underneath the slide next to the firing pin channel a crack runs up the entire length of the silver bar to the striker pin:steamed:

It's normal for the RSA to come out of its notch on the barrel lug when you field strip. Just make sure to re-seat it before reassembling the gun.

What do you mean that the slide is hanging up with a magazine in it? Is it an empty magazine or loaded, and how is it hanging up?

fully loaded and very tight to get back on 1st round, after 1st round it is much easier to work the slide

It is not uncommon for fully loaded mags, esp with the 21 and 30, to be too "tight" with the slide forward. Not a big deal, just download by one round, and see if the problem goes away.

Yup it's from the upward pressure of the magazine spring.

So the gun shoots, but is tight to hand cycle with full mag? Sounds normal to me.

Yeap, my 21 and 30 are a real ***** to get that last round in and loaded, lots of pressure

    But they shoot fine
