Good morning/afternoon sir. I have read a lot of your segments and it seems you like the G30 with standard pressure 230 gr Ranger T's. I carry a G21 and was wondering if you were carrying a 21 instead would you carry a different round due to having a longer barrel? Maybe take advantage of the +P load, or not? Thank you.

Both 230 standard pressure and 230 +P should run fine in both G30 and G21.

In my department issue gun, I carry department issue ammo: Federal HST 230 grain +P. Works fine and I'm happy with it.

In my personal .45s, I like a carry load that duplicates velocity and point of aim/point of impact coordinates of practice ammo as much as possible. I use 230 ball mostly in practice and competition, so the standard pressure JHP works for me there.

    YMMV.

Either will get you through the night.

    best,
    Mas
